NEIGHBORHOOD
Trastevere is one of Rome's most distinctive and charming neighborhoods, famous for its cobbled alleys, ochre-colored facades, small squares, artisan workshops, and traditional Roman trattorias. GET AROUND

Tram

Rome Fiumicino Airport – FCO
A particularly convenient option is to reach Rome Trastevere and take the FL1 regional train to Fiumicino Airport. The FL1 also serves Ostiense and Tiburtina stations.
Alternatively, you can reach Rome Termini and take the Leonardo Express, which arrives directly to the airport without stops in about 32 minutes, with departures generally every 15 minutes.

Rome Ciampino Airport – CIA
For Ciampino, it's generally convenient to reach Rome Termini, where there are direct buses to the airport. Another option is to take the Metro A to Anagnina and continue by bus to the airport terminal.

Getting Around on Foot
One of the great advantages of Via delle Mantellate is the ability to visit an important part of Rome without using public transportation. Castel Sant'Angelo can be reached on foot in approximately 10–15 minutes, St. Peter's Square in about 15–20 minutes, Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona in about 15–20 minutes, while Trastevere is easily accessible by crossing the Tiber.
